Anchor House's "Angel’s Wings" program provides a 30-day residential emergency respite care community home for children newborn to 12 years old. With a deep commitment to family, it seeks to provide a stable and nurturing environment where each child’s safety and well being can be nurtured. Angel’s Wings is a creative and compassionate strategy that embraces children, keeps siblings together, and helps them transition into their next placement.
The residential component of Angel’s Wings is a unique concept in emergency shelter care – it is the only program of its kind in New Jersey. Up to five children at a time live together as a family in a home in Mercer County, which offers a loving environment 24 hours a day, seven day a week. Angel’s Wings is a ‘round the clock’ asset to child welfare workers who must remove young children from their abusive homes, as they accept children with a broad range of presenting problems, including neglect, behavior and medical issues, and the need for respite care.
Jackson, Carter and Asher are donating their joint 6th birthday celebration to the Angel's Wings mission. In lieu of traditional birthday gifts this year, the boys and their families are asking that a small donation be made in their honor. With your help, each child in Angel's Wings loving care will continue to receive the shelter, food, clothing, medical attention, individual therapeutic support and continued education they so greatly need. If your child prefers to purchase a gift, please visit Anchor House's Wish List and the birthday boys will happily deliver it.
The most priceless gift Asher, Carter and Jackson can receive on their birthdays is the power to make a difference: Donate.
