Although sharks have dominated our waters for more than 400 million years, they are nonetheless some of the most vulnerable animals on the planet. In every corner of the ocean, they are being taken captive.

Shark fins are used as the principle ingredient in shark fin soup, an Asian delicacy. Demand for shark fin soup, which can sometimes cost $100 a bowl, has rocketed in recent years due to the increased prosperity in China and other countries in the Far East. Tens of millions of sharks are slaughtered every year to satisfy the demand for this soup with more than 8,000 tons of shark fins being shipped to restaurants around the world.

Jackson is donating his 7th birthday celebration to The World Wildlife Fund, the leading conservation organization protecting animals in their habitats globally. In lieu of traditional gifts this year, Jackson's wish is for friends and family to help him symbolically adopt a great white shark; when he reaches his $250 goal, he will receive a certificate of adoption as well as a big stuffed shark in honor of his effort. Please share this video and his mission with your children and join Glitter Lemonade and the Brennan family in championing his cause!

The most priceless gift Jackson can receive on his birthday is the power to make a difference: DONATE
