Make-A-Wish grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. A wish come true empowers children to fight harder against their illnesses. When they are granted a wish, they get more than just a great experience for a day, two days, or a week. The experience improves the quality of life for the "wish kid" and their entire family. It helps the child feel stronger, more energetic and more willing and able to battle their circumstances. For many, it marks a turning point when they actually begin to fight for their well-being. For doctors, nurses and other health care professionals, the wish experience works in concert with medicine to make their patients feel better emotionally and sometimes, even physically.
Mia is donating her 9th birthday celebration in support of Glitter Lemonade's effort to grant the wish of a little boy named Ernest, through Make-A-Wish New Jersey; Ernest is 7 years old and suffering from Lymphosarcoma, a malignant disease of the lymphoid tissues. It's Ernest's wish to go to Disney World and with your support, Mia is going to help make that wish come true--In lieu of receiving traditional gifts this year, it's her birthday wish that friends, family and classmates make a contribution to this effort in her honor. Empathy can only be learned through exposure. Please share this video and Mia's mission with your children and join Glitter Lemonade and the Nissim family in championing her cause!
The most priceless gift Mia can receive on her birthday is the power to make a difference: Donate
If your child would like to support Glitter Lemonade’s effort by donating his or her birthday on Ernest’s behalf, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
